Cottenham Community Centre coffee shop now open!

Hours: Wed – Sat 10am – 2pm

What a great first day on Wednesday 9 February as the CCC coffee shop was open for the first time. There was a constant flow of people, buzz of conversation and compliments all round for the food & drink as well as the newly renovated building. The coffee was great and the scones, cakes, soup and baguettes and paninis wonderful.

Well done to Jane (manager) and the team of volunteer helpers who looked and were very professional. The second-hand bookstall was busy and the children’s corner with tables, chairs, playmat and toys much admired.

More exciting news: there will be Wi-Fi available very soon!

Do come, bring your friends and try the food and drinks – it’s opposite the Co-Op on the High Street.

News on work to the back hall. This has been double-glazed, is well heated and has a newly renovated floor. It is available for hire so if you wish to hire it for new classes, party etc contact Julie Percival at the Corner shop. Existing classes (some only operate term-time) with spaces (do come along and join) include:

Monday 14.00 –16.00 (every other week) Rendezvous club

AGM news – now only one more Trustee needed!

This was well attended with 70 people present. There is still a space for one more trustee, which might suit the parent of a young child. Do let me know if you would like more information.

Thanks and see you soon at the Community Centre coffee shop.
