Coffee shop
The coffee shop will close for a summer break for the volunteers and staff at 2pm on Saturday 16 August and re-open on Monday 1 September at 10am
There will be many classes running in week beginning 17 August but no classes in week beginning 25 August. We plan to re surface the floor in the hall and do some other work on the building during that week.
Most classes re-start in the following week including the Pilates etc groups.
Events
Repair Café in the hall 10-2 on 20 September bring your broken items.
Also on 20 September please keep the evening free and buy your tickets for a Peace meal to celebrate Peace One Day. Hearing of the violence around the world makes this opportunity all the more important. There will be a Peace scholar from Nigeria speaking of the problems there.
Arising from the Monday Ideas group for over 50s in the coffee shop there will be on Thursdays from 11 September at 1.30pm Singing for Fun at the Salvation Army Barn, 184 High street. For more info Contact jane@care-network.org.uk

We are keen to hire out the rooms, especially for new activities to Cottenham or for parties (the coffee shop can provide food) so if you would like to hire one of our 3 rooms (main hall, Studio (upstairs) or coffee shop, E-mail smithmichaelstanley@hotmail.com to book. The hall is available some afternoons to book. You are now able to check bookings (and classes) by looking on the website at Function Rooms and then the room and looking for the date.
We are actively looking for new volunteers. If you would like to volunteer in the coffee shop, meet people and improve your skills, do get in touch by replying to manager@cottenhamcc.org or phoning 01954 202109
If you, and/or your friends, would further like to support our exciting facility the website has a link to shop on-line with “easy fundraising”. It costs you nothing more but brings in extra income for CCC.
Membership –a form is available on the website or in coffee shop. Receive a free drink after 10 drink purchases.
