The Coffee shop normal opening time is 10.00 – 4.30 on Monday and 10.00 -2.00 Tuesday to Saturday

In August the coffee shop will close at 2pm on Saturday 17 August and re-open on Mon 2 September at 10am. Thus it will be closed for 2 full weeks.

There will be a Table Top Craft Sale this Saturday 27 July 10am to 2 pm. Come and enjoy the shopping or browsing to see the super craft work.

We (with Miranda our Pilates teacher) are planning changes to the upstairs room – “the Studio” with new colours, curtains, mirrors, ballet bar, cupboards and flooring. To make this whole area safe and attractive the staircase will be modernised and floored and a shoe rack, hanging space and seat installed. The Fire escape will be re-furbished.

Look out for new classes both in the studio and main hall.

We have Rugby tots on Saturdays re-starting 31 August or 7 Sept at 11.00 (aged 2-3.5 years) and 11.30 to 12.30 (aged 3.5-5.00 years) in the Main hall (NB on Sat 14 September it is at 12.00 – 1.30 after Dad’s Play). For more information or to book contact andyk@rugbytots.co.uk

Knitting Group. On Wednesday Mornings 10am -12 noon  a few people meet in the coffee shop over a coffee and cake to knit. Just come and join in if you are interested.

Dads Play: Every second Saturday of the month including 10 August and 14 September 10.30 – 11.30. Arts Night 7.30 -9.30 pm: also monthly including 11 August 2013 and 8 September.  NEWThe Roost – monthly family Sunday afternoons (of arts craft and play) starts Sunday 8 September at 3pm. Monday.  Messy Play specials on 12 and 19 August 10.00 -12.30 and then weekly 10-11 from 9 September:  Zumbatronic  3.30 – 4.00pm (restarting on 9 September):  Zumba 7.00 to 8.00pm continues through the summer: Zumba Gold (Aimed at the over 50s) on Monday afternoons 12 and 19 August at 2.30. Tuesday.  Yoga 10.00-11.30 (Not in August):  NEWPilates for Beginners 10.15 to 11.15; Pilates Intermediate 11.30 to 12.30 both starting on 6 August (not held on 13 August). Wednesday.  On Wednesday morning 21 August Little Humbugs and then weekly from 4 September at 10.30 in the main hall, a Singing and Music Fun Time for babies and toddlers which has already become very popular. We are very keen to hire out the rooms and increase the number of volunteers so if you would like to hire one of our 3 rooms (main hall, Studio (upstairs) or coffee shop, you are now able to check bookings by looking on the website at Function Rooms and then the room and looking for the date.  Similarly if you would like to volunteer in the coffee shop, and improve your skills, do get in touch by replying to smithmichaelstanley@hotmail.com

Electric heating/Air conditioning and Acoustic material has been installed in the main hall and further improvements are the new electrically operated doors in the corridor and into the main hall.

Shutters will be fitted around the kitchen in the coffee shop on 19 August to make it easier to let the coffee shop area for functions when the coffee shop is not open. If you would like to hire this wonderful room do let me know.

We now have an Entertainment licence which allows live music, films etc. as well as the sale of alcohol at certain events. This will save the need for Temporary Event notices. We have also subscribed to the Performing Rights Society to cover copyright royalties.

It costs you nothing more but brings in extra income for CCC.
