La Dolce Vita

La Dolce Vita – Free Talk on how to add 14 years to your life.

Cottenham Community Centre on Tuesday evening 18th October will be positively good for you

Want to know how to (possibly) add 14 healthy years to your life? Hear local GP Dr. Simon Poole share his enthusiasm for the wonderful diet of the Mediterranean and explain how it can be a healthy way to eat.

Dr. Poole will be repeating his highly successful talk on a “positively good for you” lifestyle given earlier in the year to packed audiences at Swavesey and Impington Village Colleges. “With a title like that you might expect me to be selling something….well, I am not!” says Dr. Poole. Nor does he describe himself as a celebrity chef, but he clearly has a passion for creating simple and everyday meals, combining fabulous taste with nutrition that can contribute to maintaining an optimum state of health and wellbeing.

Learn about the aspirin-like substances in rosemary, the omega3-rich eggs of Crete, and the protective antioxidant properties of olive oil, wine and…chocolate! Become inspired by fabulous tasting food. Join us for an evening of celebration of a natural, colourful and healthy diet and lifestyle. Dr. Poole will provide shopping plans, ingredient lists and fantastic recipes to include in our daily lives.

The talk starts at 7.30p.m and attendance is FREE.

Jacket potato, panini and baguettes with a selection of delicious healthy fillings and salad garnish, prepared by Jane Hackshaw and her team will be available in the CCC Coffee Shop from 6.00 – 7.00p.m. So come early and enjoy meeting up with friends old and new, beforehand. (£5 per person covers choice of food and beverage – pre-booking is needed.)
