On Tuesday April 24, the winners of the crocus in focus competition were announced. The extremely high standard of the entries was praised.
We were delighted to get more than 100 entries for the crocus in focus competition.
Recipes from our healthy Medi Steady Cook evening. Cajun spiced chicken with flaked almonds on a bed of spinach – Seared tuna with chilli and garlic dressing, Seafood pasta bake, Salad bowl and an olive oil salad dressing.
Dance Lessons – Wednesday nights 7 -8pm, starting with the Waltz on the 18th April 2012. Good fun and good exercise.
The Coffee Shop will be open for the Jubilee on Sunday 3rd June 2012. From 3pm to 6pm.
Back by popular demand, local GP Dr. Simon Poole. See how to prepare delicious, healthy Mediterranean style meals. Taste some sample dishes prepared on the night. Experience olive oil tasting!
Saturday 24th March. Cottenham Community Centre, opposite the co-op, 10am to 2pm. Lots of stalls.
A competition is arranged for photographs and paintings of the 2012 showing of crocuses around the Village Green. Bring your talents, cameras and paint brushes into action to create an original entry. Your entry should centre on the flowers but insects and animals may be included, though please don’t include humans in the composition.
The CCC coffee shop is now open from 10am until 4.30pm each Monday for a trial period. Other days remain the same (10-2). Do come along and do encourage any teenagers, as they may be able to come on Monday afternoons. The Rocky Road cake is very popular!
